THE ‘REEL
This particular piece is cut from lots of different shoots, but if there is any highlight that does stand out, it’s the finding of the music. These edits rely on good music to drive them forward, and the more contrast and variation within the particular tune, the better the edit.

We shot this film in the mountains around Mijas, in the south of Spain. It happened really fast. Just six days from the sign off to wrapping the shoot. Sometimes you have to jump pretty high to get the job done. This was one of those times.

B.K.S.T.S.
The BKSTS is London’s film business society. The acronym stands for the “British Kinematograph Sound & Television Society”. Set up in 1931 to promote a growing film industry it’s still going strong. Silver Cloud Films created a showreel for their LA promotional tour and instead of just cutting some movie clips together had the idea of ‘projecting’ those movies onto London’s famous landmarks.

Leeds Armoury
Leeds Armoury had an exhibition about Tudor punishment and cruelty that had disastrously low numbers of visitors. We made this commercial to promote it and just seven days later our client took it off air due to a 2,000% increase in entrance receipts.

Streetracer
The producers of the movie (that was in development) “StreetRacer” needed something to take to Cannes to show investors how the end product would look, so we took 25 modified cars and lots of walkie talkies down to Dunsfold airfield (aka the Top Gear race track) and shot this promotional video overnight.
