The precursor to BBC3 wanted something to promote their tagline of “Non Stop Music and Comedy”. My old writing partner, Taff, and I retired to the pub where we devised this daft little concept. Daft but bloody funny…even now!
Highlight of the Shoot:
I got lots of people involved, to first design the puppets, then ‘operate’ them, from old mates to actors and artists. One time we were shooting with a smoke machine and set the fire alarm off. 70 people standing on the street outside.
Lowlight of the Shoot:
We got commissioned to make 100. That’s a hell of a lot.
